Who we are
A team of nearly 70 people work at The Lodge Trust to provide a safe and stimulating living environment, supporting our Service Users in their home, work, recreational and spiritual lives. All staff members are highly trained and well supported by managers in staff supervisions, performance reviews and annual appraisals.
The Lodge Trust has been recognized as a ' Silver Investors in People’ organisation and has also been awarded the Employment Service ‘Positive about Disabled People’ symbol. The Lodge Trust and many of our staff have signed the Social Care Commitment.
Meet our Management Team
Ramsey is our Chief Executive and leads the senior management team responsible for all aspects of the Lodge Trust's work. This includes Residential Services, Work and Education Services, and the Lodge Country Park. He is also part of the Trustees Management Committee, which meets ten times each year. Ramsey joined The Lodge Trust in 2019, formerly working as a Regional Director with Friends International a Christian charity working with international students. His background is in Education, Training, and IT.
He grew up in the North East of England, enjoys road cycling, sailing, and walking in the Lake District with his family and Alfie the black Labrador.
Our WES and Compliance Manager, Kathryn, is responsible for managing Work and Education Services and all our staff training. Kathryn ensures that individuals at The Lodge Trust are supported in a person-centred way, giving everyone the opportunity to realise their potential and achieve their goals. Kathryn sees our Christian ethos as a central part of all we do and helping everyone to develop their relationship with God as an essential part of our caring.
Lydia is our Administration Manager who, along with her dedicated team, runs reception and supports all the other teams across site with HR and administration services. Lydia started with us in 2009 and has held roles in residential services, work and education services and latterly in the support services team.
Outside of work Lydia enjoys spending time with her husband and young son, going on long walks with their dog. Occasionally she also manages to find time to do some tap dancing.
Originally from South Africa Peter joined The Lodge Trust team in 2019, firstly within the residential team before becoming our Health and Safety & Facilities Manager
in 2020. Along with his maintenance team and volunteers, Peter oversees the safety and maintenance of the whole of The Lodge Trust site.
Peter has 3 children and 4 grandchildren living in Australia and South Africa. In his spare time he loves doing DIY and renovations and there's not much that he can't fix!
Our Finance Manager
, Will, worked in our residential team as a care worker for several years before leaving to study accountancy. He returned to us in his new role in 2020.
Will became a father for the first time in March 2021. When he's not studying or working, Will enjoys spending time with his family; which usually consists of long walks (often motivated by a cafe or another form of food) and catching up with friends & family.
